Little Sparrowhawk

(15700000) Little Sparrowhawk - Accipiter minullus

A pair of young Little Sparrowhawks is currently being raised on the Kimiad golf course in Moreleta Park, Pretoria.
We watched the two youngsters one recent afternoon as they rather noisily practiced their flying skills around the nest.
Later in the afternoon, whilst we were having a snack and some beers, one of the adults, presumably the mom was heard giving contact calls nearby.
I followed the direction of her calls and found her with a fresh kill.
A few minutes later, when the youngsters didn't approach her, she decided to fly to the nesting site where the largest of the two young ones, took the kill from her and proceeded to feed.
